Ep# 17 - Hoser Horror: Science Crazed & The Pit

This week on the podcast, Dan and Carlo are back together and talking about something near and dear to both of them: Hoser Horror! As a hoser, Dan’s always been intruiged and obsessed with Canadian cult cinema –especially after stumbling upon Paul Corupe’s essential and genre-defining website Canuxploitation! in High School. As a genre-cinema fan, Carlo’s seen some Canadian flicks, but not nearly enough to Dan’s liking. Together they’ve decided to dive into these movies, one double feature at a time (that’s right, this ain’t no chronological joint).

On today’s episode, they watch the creeper-kid epic The Pit (1981), starring Sammy Snyders and the teddy bear who tells him to do bad things. Also under the microscope, is the WTF trashterpiece Science Crazed (1989, but released on video in 1991). We’ve got all the heavy breathing and toilet-paper-lookin’ bandages you can handle!

Next time on Hoser Horror: we put on some dimension-adding masks and slap raw meat on the dinner table… stay tuned, eh?!

A new episode of Notes From the Back Row will be released every other week.
